 WHO IS ANAIS?

I'm Anaïs-Monica McKay, a person with strong optimism and collective ambition, and the founder of McKay & Co. I started my company during the pandemic, driven by a desire to contribute to the cultural and structural transformations shaping our society.

In every organization I work with, my goal is to build a sustainable collaborative ecosystem that supports curious, bold, and visionary individuals. With collaborative innovation as my core value, each initiative becomes an opportunity to co-create a promising and inclusive future alongside these individuals and their teams.

BACKGROUND

My academic journey reflects my commitment to social innovation and collective change.

With a Master’s in Social Innovation Management (2019) and a Microprogram in Leadership Development (2018), I’ve gained tools to turn ideas into meaningful actions.

Grounded in social dynamics, my Master’s in Community Health (2008) and my Bachelor’s in Sociology (2005) have deepened my understanding of societal challenges and the power of collective mobilization. Each step in this journey fuels my ambition to create collaborative spaces for co-constructing an inclusive and sustainable future.

Professional background

My professional path is guided by a deep desire to foster social innovation and collective transformation. At Jeffery Hale Saint Brigid's Hospital, I had the opportunity to create co-creation and mobilization processes, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds to drive meaningful change. I helped strengthen synergy between projects, while supporting management and teams in their daily strategic decisions. Each interaction aimed to reinvent management and promote a dynamic and inclusive organizational culture.

My role as a community organizer at the CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale allowed me to bring together public and community stakeholders, by facilitating partnerships to create innovative projects. This is where I saw the concrete impact of collaboration on social transformation.

In my role as a health promotion advisor , I worked to facilitate collaborations between schools, health teams and external partners, with the aim of deploying innovative practices in prevention and health promotion. Each initiative became an opportunity to explore new ways of caring for our communities.

Finally, my work as a research professional offered me an immersion in the world of mental health research, where I developed evaluation models and research protocols. I coordinated exchanges between researchers and health professionals, paving the way for new knowledge and practices that still influence public services today.

This journey reflects my commitment to bringing together creative forces to build sustainable and human solutions, giving each project a collaborative dimension and a vision focused on the future.

& TRAINING

Throughout my journey, I have developed a deep commitment to social innovation and collective support. As a co-author of the book "Proximités. Liens, accompagnement et soin," I explored the essential connections between care and community.

I have enhanced my skills through various trainings, including a Masterclass in social innovation at KAOSPILOT in Montreal in 2019 and a certification in responsible management in 2018. My experiences in Haiti, at the Albert-Schweitzer Hospital, provided insights into the impact of care within community contexts.

Additionally, I deepened my understanding of empowerment through ongoing training led by Yann Le Bossé at Laval University. These experiences fuel my passion for collaborative innovation and inclusive leadership.
